Good to know this bulb is pretty good. Might say for 10 dollars you can get the highly rated (by nearly everyone) Cree lightbulb, which is a 60 watt equivalent. It is also capable of dimming. For a little more than this 40 watt bulb you can get the L-prize philips bulb at $28. It's not as great as a value as your pick or the Cree. But it has a better color quality index and some additional brightness over even the Cree. So, I would say this particular Philips 8w bulb reviewed here is decent but you can do better in quality and price and brightness, elsewhere.

P.S. I know I was brief on evidence but everything I said is backed up on The Wirecutter

Brian Lam

OK, COOl thanks Alan.

OK, COOl thanks Alan.

Brian Lam

Hey Brian here, formerly from Gizmodo, now at The Wirecutter.

Hey Brian here, formerly from Gizmodo, now at The Wirecutter. We spend like 40 hours checking cases and also worked with Nick Guy from ilounge, the best case reviewer we have seen so far (ever) as far as iphone and ipad protection goes. We both agree the Switcheasy case is our favorite. It's slim but protective, and has a great grippy texture. I like it a lot and it's saved my phone from a dozen spills.
